Evanescence's Amy Lee: 'The Plan Is For Us To Work On A New Album Next' -

Although I do wish I could have had something else autographed, I understand those days are gone for now, and am not complaining or disappointed. Lindsey has gotten much more popular, which we have to be glad about!

Went into the fan party. It was under a large tent, with quite a few fans. There were snow cones, popcorn, turkey corn dogs, lemonade, iced tea, and water. A couple of Lindsey's outfits were on display from her videos. There were games, including: Also face painting, and a table where you could write Lindsey a note, seal it in an envelope, and put it in a bin for her to read later.

There was a roped-off stage area, and many people had already staked out spots. There were tables and chairs under the tent, but the area around the stage area was standing only. They made several things very clear. They were using a professional photographer, and the photo would be later emailed to you. They did this for the Warmer in the Winter tour, and I think it took a couple days to a week, don't worry, the email will come! You were not even allowed to have your phone out.

Any gifts were taken by staff to be given to her after the show, and you couldn't have anything to ask her to autograph. Please give Lindsey a light and quick hug or a handshake. Don't latch on so she feels uncomfortable, and don't pick her up.

Someone did this years ago, and I think you'd rightfully be thrown out for doing it, as you're warned. You head into a small tent, where Lindsey is.

You hug or shake hands, say hi to each other, the photo is taken, and it's over in a blink of an eye. If you're well prepared, you can squeeze in a few second long conversation if you don't blank out from meeting her.

But, don't abuse that and try to make it longer than a few seconds! Try to remain calm and be in the moment so you can remember it later. I recommend saying hi to them and shaking their hands too! As explained below, someone passed out from the heat for 4 minutes, so our experience may have varied. We found a spot off to the side that still had a great view, and were able to get right up front there. Most people were clustered trying to be right in front.

Because it's all standing room, I'm sure some people had blocked or limited visibility. Lindsey, Drew, and Kit come onto the stage. There's a spinning wheel with questions submitted in advance by email. I got an email on Jun 29 asking for entries by Jul 3 - I don't know if shows on later dates had this same deadline, or if it is set to be shortly before your show. -

When the email asks for the question to ideally be answered with multiple choice options, they mean it! They're looking for things like: The staff member spinning the wheel had a whiteboard with the crowd answer. I was on the other side of the room, and don't know how the crowd whiteboard was handled.

The spinning wheel was the one area under the tent we didn't go by during the fan party, so my guess is you could cast votes by it. Lindsey shows her answer, and you see how Drew, Kit, and the crowd did. I don't know if the wheel has different questions at each concert, so I'm not going to give away any answers.

There's a few spots on the spin wheel labeled "Ask Lindsey". On these, people with questions raise their hand and Lindsey picks someone to ask her a non-trivia question.

They mentioned beforehand they're looking for things not tailored to the person asking the question, so it seems like they don't want people mentioning it's their birthday, if they can take a selfie now, how to be able to work as a stage ninja, etc. It seemed to be timed exactly as Lindsey finished her answer, but I think it was from the heat. Seriously, hydrate yourself before you go, and keep hydrating when you're there.

Even with fans under the tent, there's a mob of people clustered together at this point keeping it even warmer. No surprise, but it was clear Lindsey was genuinely very concerned for the person, and everyone else in the heat.
